Client Perspective

It's not news that the Telecom Industry has had trouble of late. Day after day the news seems to go from the merely bleak (check your 401(k) last quarter?) to the tabloid (CEO's having, evidently, failed Accounting 101.) It's easy to get caught up in the daily saga but what's the real story? Is there any good news?

We're happy to report, yes.

In a recent SF Gate article, Ned Riley, chief investment strategist with State Street Global Advisors, said the time is ripe for tech and telecom to resume their long-lost leadership. Companies whose earnings have been hardest hit during a recession often show the biggest percentage improvement when things turn around because technology and telecom clearly had the worst profit performance during the past two years, they should be poised for the biggest comeback.

That sounds like good news.

As a full service management firm specializing in technology-focused industry associations, we know firsthand how the market downturn has affected our clients. But we also know that our clients' commitment and dedication to the work they're doing is the very foundation of the recovery effort. Our clients are investing their resources and preparing for better days ahead. AMS is proud to work side-by-side with them to manage details and allow them to concentrate on developing and implementing strategic programs.

As you'll read in the pages to follow, our clients are confidently moving forward - planning never-been-done-before global interoperability demonstrations, addressing audiences at key industry events, exhibiting at tradeshows while always, always leading the drive to develop the technology that drives business.

That's really good news.

On that note, we invite you to check out our website (http://www.amsl.com) for more information about all of our outstanding clients and about the services we offer.

Sincerely yours,

Kirsten Machi, Lisa Winkler, Karen Moreland
